Feast or famine....

Argh!

I can't believe I haven't posted on my blog for a month. Shocking behaviour for a writer I know!!

This freelance thing appears to be a drought or a deluge, or as a client said to me, a famine or a feast.

Whilst it's nice to be busy, it doesn't leave a lot of 'me' time. Time I would like to be developing my website, updating my blog, making new LinkedIn connections, that type of thing. Or I could even be doing the ironing, painting my toenails or washing my car (yeah right!).

I have no words of wisdom today. In fact, my brain feels half dead from the insane number of projects I've been working on this past month. So instead of enlightening my readers with my insightful ramblings, I'll amuse you by telling you about some of the projects I've been working on.
  1. First I wrote a book. Yes a whole book! It was about learning to weld. I know NOTHING about welding... just goes to show good researchers can do anything they put their mind to.
  2. Next I wrote the website content for a company dealing in open source green technology and funding it by raising money from carbon credit trading and using crowdfunding and also developing renewable energy from waste in the developing world and... is your head spinning yet? So was mine!
  3. I had my first proper feature article published in the Browser Magazine. Its just online at the moment but on the brink of getting funding to be printed and go on sale in London.
  4. I wrote 100 area specific travel type articles laced with keywords for, well, escorts.
As well as this I've been writing web pages for a friendly NZ based design agency (I wonder if that counts as an offer of employment for my visa application?) and doing all the usual bits for my regular clients - Search Sciences, the UKDEA and others.

So that's why I haven't updated my blog. A long winded excuse, but hey - when you have paid work waiting to be done it's very hard to find the time to do the unpaid stuff.

As many of my school reports once said - could do better.
